Roberto Casappa, the founder of the company, produced the first hydraulic gear pump in 1952. It was used as a spare part for American dumper trucks left in Italy at the end of the Second World War.

Today, Casappa produce a wide range of hydraulic gear or piston pumps and motors and filters and other hydraulic components for a broad range of applications in various sectors including: construction, industrial vehicles, material handling, agriculture and industry. Many functions, such as valves and controls, are directly incorporated in the products in order to optimize space and costs for the system.

Features of the Casappa Polaris PL series:

Wide choice of shafts, flanges and ports available, complying with all international standards (SAE, DIN and EUROPEAN) allow usage in an infinite number of applications;

The Casappa Whisper WS series is a new and original technology protected by international patents and applied to a family of external gear pumps and motors that feature low noise emissions.

Casappa’s new PH series of gear pumps and motors is an evolution of the original ”Piolaris” series. Whilst the Polaris PH series has a new cast iron body that enables higher operating parameters, it still offers the original Polaris versatility on: shafts, flanges, ports and built-in valves.

With a long service life, the Casappa Polaris PH series is ideally suited to forklifts, skid steer loaders and other applications where traditional aluminium pumps are often pushed close to their limits. In addition to increasing strength, the cast iron body also reduces noise levels. Other features include:

Casappa’s Polaris PH series also offers: high volumetric efficiency at high temperature, inlet & outlet optimization – high speed, the option of multiple pump combinations and a range of built-in valves simplifying circuit design.

The Casappa Formula FP Series offer high performance even at very low speed, different ports position availability and low noise emission other features include:
